Intel announced its limited edition Intel core i7-8086K. At the Computex 2018 in Taipei, Intel Senior Vice President and Client Computing Group General Manager made announcement of the new Intel core i7-8086K which will sit above the Core i7-8700K. The details and price is not yet announced.This limited edition Intel processor marks its 40th anniversary of the 8086.

Intel introduced it first model of 8086 on 8th June 1978.The Intel 8086 was its first x86 processor. The x86 processor marked the beginning of PC evolution as we know it today.Intel is giving away 8,086 Intel i7-8986K processors to their fans across the world, but sadly India is not in the list of eligible countries.

This new Intel processor will be the first of its kind to run at 5GHz. This new Intel core i7-8086K runs at a base speed of 4GHz and has 6 cores with Hyper-Threading. And this new processor also has a single core turbo boost speed of 5GHz. This can be overclocked further if you are an enthusiast. Just like every other 8th generation Intel lineup, this also comes with 95W TDP and is build using 14nm fabrication process.

They also introduced two more processors that comes under the Intel 8th gen later this year.
