Are you being provoked by stupid baby sitter programs set up by your employees or your parents to control your surfing habits? Are you being stopped by the baby sitter programs to surf the sites you want to? Do you want to hack this program and surf sites you want to?
I do not encourage pornography being fed to children, neither do I want to spread the idea of not obeying company policies. I just want to express the fact that no censorship program can filter all the smut off the net. People are just tricked into buying these useless programs. There are several ways to disable the web-censorship program.
For baby sitter programs to work and do what they were meant for, they need to start up each time windows boots. At times, some baby sitter program automatically starts themselves by adding a reference to themselves in the c:a\autoexec.bag file. This batch file and the command contained by it are executed each time Windows boots up. Now simply open this file in Notepad and remove all references to the program. The safer method is to add the word REM in the beginning of the line which is suspected to refer to the baby sitter program. Save and restart your system for the settings to change.
Another common place where such programs add a reference to themselves and in turn start automatically is the "c:\windows\Start Menu\Program\Startup" folder. All programs which are referred to in this folder start automatically each time windows boots. One way of temporarily preventing program referred to in this folder is by pressing the SHIFT key during start up. To permanently prevent such programs from starting you need to manually go to above directory via My Computer or DOS and delete necessary references or shortcuts to the program.
Internet Explorer has a built-in Content Advisor which if enabled asks for a password every time a site without a certificate is encountered. This program will not allow the user to open Yahoo without entering the Content Advisor Password as Yahoo does not have a certificate.
It is very easy to edit the registry to remove this password. Simply follow the procedure below:
All content advisor settings are stored in the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Ratings
To prevent Internet Explorer to Ask for a Password simply launch the Windows Registry Editor.
(c:\windows\regedit.exe) and delete the above key.
