It was a shocking news to everyone when the heard that Google has introduced the next version of android , the Android N was released earlier than their expectations . And Google till now has not revealed what is N . As we all know that the versions of android come in alphabetical order . Google has now only introduced their First Developer Preview . Usually, they used to introduce their Developers Preview only on Google Developers Conference . This product which was released 2 months ago also has the other interesting thing which is this can be accessed by common people too and not only the developers . #1  Multi Window

One of the important update introduced by Google is this Multi-window feature  , where users can split their screen to do multi-tasking . This feature helps users to use 2 apps at the same time on the same screen . This feature was already available to custom android and some of the Samsung Devices , but this is the first time android is introducing it Officially .

#2  Direct Replay Notification

The Remote Input API which was only available on android devices is now available to Mobiles and Tablets too . This feature helps users to give a reply to notifications without opening the application .

#3  Bundle Notification

Now users can manage the big list of notification more easily . This will be really useful to people who use more than one Messanger application . Many of us have faced the problem of receiving too many notifications when we turn on the Mobile Data . Now Android N has brought a solution to this problem . In Android N , the notifications are managed by dividing the notifications into Groups . Notifications of one app will be in a single notification . And the user also has the option to see it in an expanded form . This feature is similar to the ones in Gmail and Hangout application .

#4  Efficiency

The previous version of Android , the Marshmallow had a power saving feature called Doze . This is a process of bringing changes to the working of applications according to the usage of the device . When you are using the device everything will be as usual . But when you are not using it , all the unnecessary application will be changed to Sleep mode . This feature called Doze is also introduced in Android N with minor changes . Another change in Android N is the Memory Usage . Android N has been designed in such a way that it reduces the memory to the maximum for background applications . This will help in the smoother running of android .

#5 New Settings Menu

Android N has brought a major change in the Settings Menu . The previous versions of Android had the Settings Menu in a List Format . And the users had to Open it to get detailed information . For example , to check the connected networks now wifi we had to open Wifi menu . But different from this Android N has introduced Master-Slave format .

#6 App Optimization On Android N

Android Run Time feature which was introduced in the Lollipop version to speed up app optimization while booting is introduced again with some minor changes . Now the each application is optimized only when that particular application is opened , insted of optimizing all the applications at ones while booting Usually, new versions of android were introduced by Nexus Mobiles , but this time, as it was introduced earlier , Google is giving other Mobile Companies a chance try this new version .
